Clarence W. Smithey, 85, of Gurley, passed away Wednesday.
He was preceded in death by father, Rice Smithey, mother, Eula Wilburn Smithey, sister, Rachel Cothren, brother, Daniel Smithey, brother, Clayburn Smithey, brother, Coy Smithey, sister, Ellen Harbin, sister, Jeanette Schrimsher, infant brother, Cleveland Smithey, infant sister, Sissy Mae Smithey and wife, June Smithey.
Surviving are wife, Eleanor R. Smithey, son, Thomas Wayne (Jan) Smithey, son, Larry W. (Diane) Smithey, grandchildren, Jason (Rebecca) Smithey and Mikisha Smithey, step son, Grover (Teresa) Price, step daughter, Melissa (Jeff) Meeks, step daughter, Kimberly (Dewey) Mefford, 6 step grandchildren, brother, Pete Smithey, sister, Mattie Bea Hopkins, sister, Jeannie Herron, and several nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home. Services will be held at New Hope Funeral Home, Friday at 1:00 pm with Bro. Gary Ikard officiating.
Interment will be in the Green Valley Cemetery.
