Ernest “Ernie” Duckett, 73, of New Hope, passed away Saturday April 23.

Ernie was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was passionate about his racing, his street rod shop and all things related to old cars.

He was preceded in death by father, Carl Duckett, and daughter, Tami Estep.

Surviving are his loving wife, Margaret Duckett; his mother, Jane Duckett; his brother and sister-in-law and niece, Art, Debbie and Hilary Duckett; his sister Eleanor Duckett; his daughter and son-in-law, Shannon and Todd Jenkins; his son and daughter-in-law, Carl Duckett, II and Kasi Duckett; his son Ernie Duckett, Jr.; his granddaughters, Claire and Caeli Duckett, Riley and Ansley Jenkins; and grandson, Kerby Duckett.

Visitation will be Tuesday 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home. Services will be held at New Hope Funeral Home Chapel, Wednesday at 3:00 PM with Rev. Michael Carpenter officiating.

Interment will be in the Hayden Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
