Aimee Amanda Cothran Bearden, 43, of New Hope, passed away Friday, February 6th, at Hunstville Hospital while being treated for injuries sustained in an industrial accident. Aimee was a lifelong resident of North Alabama, including Boaz, Guntersville, Hunstville and Owens Crossroads. Aimee, a dedicated mother, partner, and daughter, spent her life doting on her family and spreading joy with her contagious laughter and good nature. That spirit will carry on in her survivors who include her wife Gina Bearden, her daughter Lori Townsel, her son Christopher Townsel, her parents Terry Cothran and Judy Brooks, her brother David (Beth) Cothran, and her granddaughter Jasmine Townsel, two nephews, Phoenix Cothran, Blake Davis, two nieces, Kendyl Davis and Lexi Bearden. Aimee also considered herself very blessed to have three surviving grandparents, and she loved them dearly. They are Mr. Billy Brooks, Ms. Virginia Brooks, and Mrs. Rheba Cothran. Aimee was known for making even the smallest joyful moments into unforgettable memories of happiness. She lived with enthusiasm and an abundance of love.
We will celebrate the joy, fun and love she brought to all of us at a memorial service Wednesday, Feb. 11th at New Hope Funeral Home in New Hope, Al. Friends and family are invited to join the celebration at 2pm, followed by her memorial service at 3pm.
