Doyle Keel of Huntsville, son of the late Howard and Janie Keel of New Hope, died February 23, 2014. He was preceded in death by his nephew Jeff Neal.
Doyle worked at Teledyne Brown Engineering and ARSI at Redstone Arsenal as a machinist. Doyle was known as being one of the best musicians around playing many different instruments. He played with the Saints Quartet until he became disabled. He became a member of the New Hope Holiness Church in 2003 and enjoyed going to church.
He is survived by brother, Malcolm (Helen) Keel of Grant, sister, Kay Smith of Huntsville, a special niece, Kelly (Rick) Hopkins, nephew, Johnathan (Amy) Keel, great nephew, Randall (Kelly) Helton, great nephew, Justin Neal, great niece, Katie Hopkins, great niece, Jenna Keel, great-great nephew, Jackson Helton, great-great nephew, Tommy Hopkins, great-great niece, Lainey Helton, aunts, uncles, cousins, several friends, and one special friend his dog Bre.
Visitation will be Tuesday 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home. Services will be held at New Hope Funeral Home Chapel, Wednesday at 1:00 pm with Bro. John Daniel Stapler and Bro. Wayne Walls officiating. Interment will be in the Hayden Cemetery.
