Dorothy Sue Bates , 69, of New Hope, passed away Monday.

She was preceded in death by father, David Gardiner McPeters, mother, Katherine McPeters, daughter, Penny Bates.

Surviving are husband, Don  Bates of New Hope, AL, grandchild, Timothy Williams, sister, Brenda Green, sister, Joyce Morgan, sister, Geraldine Jullian, brother, Joe McPeters, brother, David McPeters, brother, Franklin McPeters.

Visitation will be Wednesday 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home. Services will be held at New Hope Cedar Point Baptist Church, Thursday at 1:00 pm with Ricky  Quinn officiating.

Interment will be in the Kennamer Cemetery.

Sweet Dorothy we are going to miss u so very bad a sweet sister in Christ that always made everyone at church feel more than welcome never missed a time we met that she didn’t let everyone know how much she loved them, a precious precious sister in Christ,she has gained her wings and this journey is over, now resting in the arms of sweet Jesus no more pain, sorrow or sadness. This is not good-bye this is see u later sweet lady rest in peace, u were so tired now u are resting!!! Love u Dorothy and we will meet again some sweet day!!!!!!!!

  3. I am going to miss Dorothy very much I worked with her at Sanmina. I really enjoyed working
    with her. Thoughts and Prayers for her family.
