Wanda “Jeanette” Whitt, 80, of Huntsville, passed away Saturday.

She was preceded in death by father, General Lee Hunter, mother, Angie Gertrude Mitchell Hunter, husband, Roy Lee Whitt, brother, Olan Hunter and sister, Kathleen Dalton.

Surviving are son, Greg (Debbie) Whitt of Huntsville, daughter, Angie (Jim Chandler) Whitt of New Hope, brother, Billy (Kat) Hunter of Powell, TN, grandchildren, Tina Stapler, Brenda Cornett, Mike Jones, Ryan Hubbard, Chelsea Paseur and Dylan and Emma Chandler, 3 great grandchildren, Johnny Stapler, Hunter Stapler and Ellie Cornett and several nieces & nephews.

Visitation will be Monday 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home. Services will be held at New Hope Funeral Home Chapel, Tuesday at 1:00 pm with Rev. Jerry Meeks officiating.

Interment will be in the Cloud Cemetery.

  1. Nett was a part of our lives and community for so many years, seems she was always a part of my life. I will miss her very much and, driving by her house everyday knowing she is gone will be sad. I know in my heart she is in Heaven with all the family and friends that have gone on before her. Rest in Peace Sweet Lady, I love you.
