Lila Paseur Hatcher

Lila Paseur Hatcher, 96, of New Hope, passed away Saturday. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and retired from the Madison County School System.

She was preceded in death by husband, Eugene H. Hatcher, Sr., parents, John and Sara Pasuer, sisters, Dorothy Blackburn, Ida Mae Maples, Annie Davis, Virgie Lewis, Esther Maples, brothers, Leonard Paseur, Riley Paseur, Elmer Paseur, John Ed Paseur, and James Earl Paseur.

Surviving are son, Eugene (Glenda) Hatcher of New Hope, son, Ralph (Cindy) Hatcher of New Hope, daughter, Nancy (Tom) Butler of New Hope, grandchildren, Patricia (David) Layne, Richard (Tracey) Hatcher, Ralph (Karen) Hatcher, Jr., Lynne Smith, Brandy (Joey) Craig, Jennifer Vollmer, Thomas (Niki) Butler, III and 12 great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at Kennamer Cemetery, Sunday at 3:00 pm with Rev. Gary Paseur officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family would like memorial donations to be made to your favorite charity.

  1. Gene, Ralph, Nancy….loved your mom. I remember picking cotton with her. She always picked more cotton than either Joy or I. Good person and I know she will be missed by many.

  2. Gene, Ralph, and Nancy, “Aunt Lila” was very good to visit my Mother, Mary Jacobs. She was also very patient with my brother, Coy and me giving us a ride to school for many years. She was a very hard worker and a good Mother, judging by the outstanding children that she raised. A contribution in her memory will be made to New Hope Methodist Church.
