Gregory Keith Shubert

Gregory Keith Shubert, 46, of New Hope, husband, father, son, brother and friend to all, passed away at home Sunday after a seventeen month battle with cancer.

Born November 2, 1966 to Dewey “Junior” and Inez Shubert, he grew up in New Hope, Alabama graduating from New Hope High School in 1985 and Faulkner University in 1997. While in high school, he met the love of his life, Melody Grace Brown, and they married on September 10, 1988.

Their love was made complete on May 17, 1991 with the birth of their first child, Audrey Grace Shubert. Their joy was doubled three years later when on November 29, 1994, their second daughter, Sarah Olivia Shubert was born.

Greg was known throughout his community as a beloved citizen, avid volunteer and trusted friend. He was a long-standing member of the Owens Cross Roads Church of Christ where he served as an elder. Greg was employed by Yulista Management Services.

More than anything, he was a dedicated family man who passionately served and loved. He shared his love for God and life freely and passed on the best of both to them all.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dewey “Junior” Shubert.
