James “Jurden” Vann

May 16, 1929 – October 21, 2012

James “Jurden” Vann, 83, of New Hope, passed away Sunday.

He was US Army Veteran of the Korean War. He also retired from Madison County as a Heavy Equipment Operator.

He was preceded in death by wife, Eva Vann, father, Ed Vann, mother, Pearl Vann, sister, Zadie Cooper, brother, Leroy Vann, granddaughter, Stacey Whorton Goolsby.

Surviving are daughter, Pamela Paseur (Arnie) Hatfield, son, Doug (Tammie) Paseur, son, Keith (Erika) Vann, son, Patrick Vann, brother, Johnny (Faye) Vann, grandchildren, Duane Paseur, Kyle Paseur, Tonya Paseur (Jeremy) Putt, Jessica (Brad) Anderson, Ginny (Tracey) McLemore, Seth (Danielle) Vann, Justin Vann, James (Brandy) Vann, Candice (Jerel) Cross, Daisy Vann, Jackson Vann and Ashley (Daniel) Turner, and 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home. Services will be held at New Hope Funeral Home Chapel, Wednesday at 2:00 pm with Bro. Wayne Walls officiating.

Interment will be in the Whitaker Cemetery.
