Bernice McDonald

July 10, 1919 – June 8, 2012

Bernice McDonald, 92, of New Hope, passed away Friday.

She was preceded in death by husband, John T. McDonald, father, Jim Warren, mother, Emma Sullivan Warren, brothers, James Warren, Ray Warren and Bryant Warren, sisters, Edna Lewis, Ann McKelvey, and Vivian Sullivan.

Surviving are son, Ronald McDonald of New Hope, grandchildren, Brandy Ashby, and Heather McDonald, sisters, Mary Irvin of New Hope, Joyce Pugh of New Hope, and Jimmie Gover of Huntsville, and several nieces & nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home. Services will be held at New Hope Funeral Home Chapel, Monday at 1:00 pm with Rev. Mike Carpenter officiating.

Interment will be in the Moon Cemetery.

NOTHING CAN REPLACE MOMMA BROTHER RON AND EASING YOUR SORROW IS ALL WE ARE ALL AFTER…YOU AND THE GIRLS KEEP EACH OTHER CLOSE AND ALWAYS REMEMBER THE LOVE SHE HAD FOR ALL OF YOU…I NEVER GOT TO MEET HER BUT FROM THE PICTURE SHE LOOKS LIKE A CARING GOD FEARING VERY LOVELY LADY THAT RAISED YOU WELL …TAKE WHAT YOU HAVE LEARNED FROM HER AND PLAY IT FORWARD AS YOU ALREADY HAVE AND GOD WILL BLESS YOU WITH A LONG LIFE AS WELL… WE ALL LUV YA MY MAN AND KNOW “I AM HERE FOR YOU ” YOUR FRIEND DOG…..WA8DOG

  2. So very sorry to see this today~~I went to the Old Home Place & the House behind & the lady couldn’t tell me where you all lived now.That was Monday. I will always Love her as she was like an Aunt to me when we were growing up,Tom & my mom Lillie were 1st cousins.They went to Canada in 1955 & I still have pictures of them there.I loved her & may she Rest in peace with Our Dear Savior~~SHE WILL BE MISSED & SHE WAS A wonderful LADY:) NANETTA GRAVES
