Sarah Ledbetter Fergerson

February 7, 1936 – June 19, 2011

Sarah Ledbetter Fergerson, 75, of Fayetteville, passed away Sunday.

She was preceded in death by father, Carl Ledbetter, mother, Marna Couch Ledbetter, and one brother, Frankie Ledbetter.

Surviving are husband, Hershel Fergerson of Fayetteville, TN, son, Randy Fergerson of Arab, son, Greg Fergerson of Flintville, TN, step son, Michael Fergerson of Huntsville, step daughter, Paula Ross of Huntsville, step daughter, Peggy West of Huntsville, brother, Bobby Ledbetter of Huntsville, brother, Wayne Ledbetter of Laceys Spring, brother, Sonny Ledbetter of Laceys Spring, sister, Frances Whittworth of Birmingham, sister, Debbie Spencer of Laceys Spring, sister, Edna Beck of Birmingham, 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home. Services will be held at New Hope Funeral Home Chapel, Wednesday at 3:30 pm with Rev. Quentin Claborn officiating.

Interment will follow in the Walker Cemetery.

  3. Sarah was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She and my mother were the best of friends. When I came to Sarah’s visitation last week, I had no idea that the Lord would take my mother the next week. Even though Sarah was sick herself, she worried about my Momma every day. Rest in Peace Sweet Lady. You fought a good fight.
